Cookie Policy
This policy explains how auroramacro.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to store information. They are commonly used for analytics, advertising, personalization, and remembering preferences.
Your choice
When you first visit auroramacro.com, we present a banner asking whether to enable analytics cookies. If you reject, we do not load HubSpot's tracking pixel and we do not set any non-essential cookies. If you accept, the cookies described below are loaded. You can change your decision at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit.
Analytics cookies (loaded only with consent)
HubSpot. If you accept the banner, we load HubSpot's tracking script (js.hs-scripts.com) to measure pageviews, understand which research regions and topics generate interest, and connect inbound inquiries to prior anonymous visits on this site. HubSpot sets first-party cookies including __hstc, __hssc, __hssrc, hubspotutk, and messagesUtk. Full details are available in HubSpot's cookie policy.
Google Analytics 4. If you accept the banner, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies (typically _ga and _ga_*) used to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. We have not enabled Google Signals or any advertising features, and we do not use Google Analytics data for advertising or remarketing.
Beyond these analytics cookies, auroramacro.com does not set advertising pixels (such as Meta or LinkedIn pixels), session replay, or any cross-site tracking technology.
Local storage we use
We store a single value (aurora_consent) in your browser's localStorage to remember your banner choice. We also store recent UTM campaign parameters (aurora_utm) in sessionStorage so we can attribute inbound inquiries to the campaign that referred you. Neither is shared with third parties; both are removable by clearing this site's storage.
Strictly necessary cookies
Our hosting providers (Lovable and Cloudflare) may set strictly necessary cookies to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain security. These cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising or analytics. They are not gated by the consent banner because the site cannot function without them.
Browser-level opt-outs
You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies from any site through their privacy settings.
Changes to this policy
If we add new analytics, marketing, or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this page and present a renewed consent prompt.
